The flow of incoming product is perpendicular to the filter plates, which retain particles larger than the cut-off threshold. The filter accumulates the retained particles, which results in an increase in the pressure in the installation, until complete saturation: the plates must then be changed.

The plate filtration can be used for clarification or debacterisation.

We have two plate filters:

• A plate filter consists of 6 steel frames and is designed to have 5 20 x 20 cm filter plates.
• A plate filter consists of 14 steel frames and is designed to have 13 40 x 40 cm filter plates.
