The pressure cell is a tight vessel which can be pressurized up to 138 bar (2 000 psi) on temperature range between 10 °C and 150 °C. It can be used in auto-pressurized mode, in which the pressure is produced by the volatility of the sample, or by applying the pressurization from the outside, generally with a high-pressure air or nitrogen tank. The pressure cell enables the measurement of the rheologic properties of a sample beyond 100°C without causing evaporation.
